On September 6, the International Consultation Conference for the Mayor of Nanjing was held in the Purple Palace. This high-end international consultation conference is sponsored by the Nanjing Municipal People’s Government and jointly undertaken by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Nanjing Sub-Council and the SEEC Media Group.

It is a tradition of Nanjing to consult domestic and overseas experts and scholars, and listen to various suggestions and cutting-edge voices by focusing on a major issue of urban development every year. The theme for this year is " Create a First-class Innovation Ecosystem, Build a Global Highland for Innovation.”, which is not only a major subject that must be solved for focusing on high-quality development, but also a specific action for boosting the construction of Nanjing into a famous innovation city. Fifteen experts and scholars from home and abroad were invited to give their suggestions. The attendees also include the Mayor, Deputy Mayors, Secretary Generals, Vice Secretary Generals, leaders of relevant municipal departments, leaders in each district, leaders of relevant development zones, representatives of foreign chambers of commerce and associations in Nanjing, media staff, totaling more than 120 persons.
